It is the "inevitable entry" to the island and offers all kinds of beaches. In March also fill yachts Bay Philipsburg on the occasion of the prestigious Heineken Regatta.
Recently, we had them in MV Reviews on Saint Martin, a Caribbean island on which Dutch and French left their mark . This time, the intention is to approach a little closer to the Dutch side, ie, to "Sint Maarten".
Philipsburg is the capital and the inevitable entry door. Both the port and the Princess Juliana International Airport are situated on the Dutch side.
Philipsburg has no more than two thousand permanent inhabitants but exhibits a frenetic pace. Travelers from all over the world arrive on the occasion of different events. Among the sports, it is worth mentioning the Heineken Regatta, which takes place during the month of March and the latest edition (the 30th) yacht filled the Great Bay.
Beyond these extraordinary events, the beaches do not lose their charm during any season. On the Dutch side, deserve named Cupecoy Beac h (with "official" permission to do nudity), Guana Bay (great for surfers), peaceful Dawn Beach and Mullet Bay Beach , more jungle setting and proximity to the only court 18 hole golf course on the island there.
Undoubtedly, the two sides of Saint Martin / Sint Maarten is a perfect complement.
