The combination of renowned designers and crafted using traditional materials have increased the prestige of Mabeo, as last line of furniture has just been awarded at the International Furniture Fair in New York.
This year, the International Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York had several prominent "star", the Italian manufacturer Arper Spa was recognized by uniting creativity and practicality in a line of seats made with organic material, and the Japanese Cocochi Design have raised the prize for the best handmade furniture.
But one of the achievements that most attention was that of Mabeo , the Botswana-based company that has managed to develop original and simple furniture appealing to renowned designers.
Mabeo been working, among others, Patricia Urquiola , Garth Roberts and Swedish trio composed Marten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune. With that sum of talent and the will to respect the aesthetics of tribal homeland, Mabeo has managed to stand out in the ICFF this year and has earned the distinction as the best furniture.
