Emerging from country music, Taylor Swift's veintiañera overflowed its traditional audience and now triumphs in the world of pop. Within days, decide the fate of their Eight! Grammy nominations.
It may be a temporary phenomenon. But she seems determined to achieve otherwise. In any case, its fame has begun to consolidate after beating another owner of ephemeral success: Susan Boyle. The UK was second among US best-selling albums in 2009. Taylor Swift, on top, smiles and continues.
Born in Pennsylvania but raised in Tennessee (the symbol for American country music status), Swift was unveiled in the summer of 2006 with her single Tim McGraw.
The event quickly escorted; later came Fearless (2008) album that released songs like Love Story (the video show below) and You Belong With Me.
The Grammy and many projects
Taylor fans are crossing their fingers that next January 31 her idol as many Grammy statuettes takes. Opportunities will abound: competing in 8 categories. But all eyes will certainly be on the award for best album, which will compete with heavyweights of today's pop music: Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce and The Dave Matthews Band.
Beyond saying the music industry and critics, Taylor envisions other areas for short and medium term. These projects include a well commercial film with Taylor Lautner ("Valentine's Day") and a foray into the fashion world where she designed her own collection for Marks & Spencer. What an ambitious girl says.
